In 2010 the art deco designed apartment building by Baltinas Architecture Miami apartments, showcased the timeless and elegant design that would see it on the market for 10 million. Read what Perth Now had to say...
EVER sat at the top of Perth's Kings Park, looked over the CBD and Swan River, and wondered how much it would cost to enjoy the view every day?
The answer is about $10 million - and that won't even get you a penthouse apartment.
A full floor in the Baltinas designed Miami apartment complex, below A-list businessman Malcolm Day's penthouse, is on the market for $10.5 million. The WA record for an apartment is $8.25 million for a penthouse in North Fremantle, according to Landgate, the government department, which provides information on WA land and properties. The record-setting Corkhill St apartment sold in 2007 and included river frontage, a mooring and 500sqm of living space. Listing agent David Vitale, of Vitale Fine Properties, said there wasn't another location like the Miami complex. The apartment boasts stunning views of Kings Park, the city skyline, the Swan River, the Hills, South Perth peninsula and Melville Water.
"It abuts a reserve and the aspect that you get from this particular site is amazing because you get to see all of Kings Park as well," Mr Vitale said.
He said the art deco-style, full-floor three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment had a nautical flavour.
"We have one person demonstrating interest and we're speaking to him at the moment," Mr Vitale said.
For $1 million less, buyers can opt for an apartment in the same building, two floors down, where another three-bedroom, full-floor apartment is priced at $9.5 million.
Listing agent Mal Dempsey, of Dempsey Real Estate, said few locations could compare.
