LINED with London plane trees and a short walk from the river and Canning Bridge dining and retail precinct, Kintail Road, Applecross is an enviable and highly desirable location.
It is also home to the latest project from Baltinas, a $19 million boutique development of 14 residences.
Architect Barry Baltinas said the location in the heart of Applecross had been on the company’s radar for some times as a prime spot to offer high-end homes for downsizers, and interest had been strong.
“There are limited offerings of that nature in the area despite 28 per cent of local residents being aged over 50,” he said.
Built over six levels the complex will include basement parking, a communal rooftop terrace and a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments and two three-bedroom penthouses.
Two will have their own private rooftop terrace where residents can relax in style and enjoy the views, while the third will have two balconies.
Construction at 36 Kintail Road has commenced and is expected to be completed by June 2020.
Prices start from $650,000.
