Barry Baltinas and Rebecca Frost to open wine bar at ‘Paris end’ of William Street, Perth

As if being home to Wines of While and Vincent Wine wasn’t enough, the Paris end of William Street will soon welcome Margot’s Wine Bar and Cellar Door.

Perth architect Barry Baltinas and his wife, interior designer/model Rebecca Frost, plus hospo whisperer Gary Beadle, are behind the 100-capacity, WA-focused venue at 434 William Street, Perth, aiming to conjure memories of wine bars of yore.

Expect premium wines, small batch spirits, craft beers and other locally produced beverages in a “warm, modernist yet traditional” space featuring a bar clad in Pilbara red marble.

“Our commitment is to provide a choice of WA products that are either currently not available at other local bars or general liquor outlets,” said Baltinas, who also built himself a new office cannily located above the million-dollar space.

No opening date is set, beyond “in the months ahead”.
