The Challis apartments in Mt Lawley have launched, showcasing an art deco inspiration and sustainable design.

Architect and developer Barry Baltinas is offering 26 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, including three sub-penthouses, and an already-sold penthouse.

Prices are above the Perth average, starting at $595,000.

Mr Baltinas said the project included solar panels and rainwater harvesting technology, as well as biophilic design principles.

“Biophilic design - which is a way of designing the places where we live and work so they have a balanced connection to nature and create a sense of well-being - is something astute buyers are valuing more and more," Mr Baltinas said.
