Baltinas Made’s Camilla Residences West Perth apartment is on track for completion early next year.

The $28 million project, on the last remaining Mount Street site, sits next to its Halo on Mount building, where a display suite will be set up.

PACT Construction has begun work on the nine-storey apartment complex, which has attracted strong interest from local buyers.

Baltinas Made founder and architect Barry Baltinas said the project was 40 per cent sold to Perth buyers.

“We are getting strong interest from downsizers and those already sold on the incredible benefits of Mount Street living but who want a brand new home,” he said.

“As it’s unlikely we’ll see any other new developments on the riverview side of Mount Street in our lifetime as our sister project, Halo on Mount is now 100 per cent sold, Camilla presents a unique opportunity that transcends the ups and downs of the property market.”

Mr Baltinas said last year he was including a wheelchair-friendly apartment in the new development, at the request of a Perth couple.

Camilla Residences’ apartments start from $855,000.

The project is due for completion in April next year.
