Pinnacle of the Perth Apartment Lifestyle

Western Suburbs Weekly Residential

3 August 2010

Opulence abounds in this art-deco penthouse with two lifts, four parking bays and 360-degree city views, writes JANE EVANS

Situated on one of the most expensive and prime residential sites in Western Australia.  The Miami complex on Bellevue Terrace is arguably the finest apartment living on offer in the State.

Technically innovative, architect Barry Baltinas designed it to emulate an art-deco style featuring curing walls and windows reminiscent of the luxurious grand ocean liners of that period.

As I enter the building, I notice blossoming Bird of Paradise flowers flanking the foyer – what a pertinent choice for such an address.

Number 4 is the second highest apartment in the complex.

Everything about it is opulent.

Two separate lifts open directly into its lounge room.  The most amazing views of Perth city, the Swan River and Kings Park that you will ever see surround you almost from every angle.

With 100sqm of alfresco living area, there is plenty of space to enjoy it.

Internal living space spans 342sqm. There are three bedrooms, each with its own marble-lined ensuite.

It is not the master bedroom but there is something about the third bedroom, with its treetop aspect through curved glass sliding doors that I find utterly beautiful.

At the other end of the home, the master bedroom features a chocolate and copper Florence Broadhurst wallpapered feature wall, not that anyone else would probably notice with the every-changing canvas outside.

Three hundred and sixty degree views of our beautiful city would be hard to tire of.

A beautiful peach colour infused marble ensuite adjoins the master bedroom and features a striking backlit circular mirror.

A state-of-the-art kitchen and semi-circular lounge area occupies the cityside wing of the home. Connecting these rooms to the central living area is a keyhole shaped gallery hall – a work of art in its own right.

The central living area is occupied by a lounge with a pull-down projector screen, full length entertaining balcony enclosing the space and a billiard/bar area with a custom built pool table.

Each apartment has four allocated car bays and full access to the basement level entertaining area, gymnasium, infinity pool, spa and sauna.

There’s nothing ordinary about this home.
